ettain group has contract opening for an experienced Network Telephony Engineer with at least 3 years of experience with one of the fastest growing companies in Jacksonville, Florida. The position is a mix of PSTN and IP technology. Responsibilities:
Maintain and support VoIP infrastructure and its associated software, including IP-PBXs, call management systems, voice mail, and interactive voice response.
Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts based on Enterprise Integration best practices, tools, and methodologies.
Monitor and identify capacity, quality and performance issues for VoIP traffic to ensure continued, uninterrupted operation of telephony systems.
Maintain and support Voice Gateways using a variety of protocols (h323, mgcp, sip, skinny)
Conduct regular capacity planning.
Comply with contracted service level agreements.
Responsible for resolving client business network problems through research, network installation and customization, network administration and network management support.
Responsible for implementing and maintaining all aspects of the network infrastructure (i.e. Cabling- Racking/LAN/WAN/WLAN/VoIP)
Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs based on clients best practices, tools, and methodologies.
Work with executive team members, decision makers, and stakeholders to define business requirements and systems goals, and to identify and resolve business systems issues.
Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
Configure and Troubleshoot VoIP QoS issues and mitigation strategies.
Write technical specifications for purchase of networking hardware and related products.
Aid in development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans, maintain current knowledge of plan executables, and respond to crises in accordance with business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
Perform project management and engineering functions as required for network and telephony.
Perform any and all VoIP related baseline functions for customers such as software upgrades and performance analysis. Requirements: Software:
