Title: MATERIAL SPECIALIST III - SHIPBOARD Location: FL-Jacksonville Honeywell Technology Solutions Inc. - Pre-Positioning & Marine Corps Logistics Service Program (P&MCLS), based in Jacksonville, Florida, invites you to put your military experience to work!
We have maintained the United States Marine Corps Maritime Pre-Positioning Ships equipment since the inception of the P&MCLS program. AShipboardMaterial Specialist IIIwill perform the following duties on board a fleet of pre-positioned United States merchant ships for an assignment period of one year upon successful completion the option to renew.
Job Summary: Performs functions relating to the technical research, requisitioning, stockage computation and replenishment, custodial record keeping, and issue, disposal, redistribution and tracking of equipment, supplies, and publications. This includes troubleshooting and problem solving related to the above functions. Also includes the use of automated systems (both hardware and software) related to accomplishment of the above tasks. Provides training and guidance to lower level employees.
BASIC: * High School graduate or equivalent. * Eight years related experience. * US Citizen. Proof Required. * Must have a valid passport or be able to obtain a passport * Valid State Drivers License. ADDITIONAL: * Complete the Computer Operator Course, or equivalent. * Complete basic military supply course, or equivalent. * Complete Combat Service Support Chief Course, or equivalent. * Solid understanding of the organization's logistic functions and the activities involved in providing logistical support. * Working knowledge of information processing methodology / technology, computer capabilities, and processing techniques. * Working knowledge of various computer features and functions. * Skills to read, interpret, and correctly respond to information in the form in which it is transmitted through the computer system. * Ability to comply with all established methods, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Persons with active duty military experience in a supply related field will be given preference. * Experience with the Marine Corps Supported Activities Supply System (SASSY) system. * Experience with the Marine Corps Asset Tracking and Logistics Automated Support System (ATLASS) system. * Experience with the Marine Corps Integrated Material Management System (MIMMS) with DPR and LM2 reports
