GES seeks a mid level Environmental Scientist or Geologist for the Jacksonville, Florida area Responsibilities and Duties: * Prepares site work plans, proposals, and technical reports. * Edits technical reports and reviews for final submission * Evaluates budgets vs. plan and analyzes cost control and efficiencies. * Communicates with third party and regulatory agents regarding schedules and compliance issues. * Oversees junior staff and subcontractors during field activities. * Ensures adherence to client contract specifications in all field-related activities and informs project group of those specifications. * Works with Junior and Associate Geologists to review data and data management, GAMA, report completion, subcontractor interaction, etc. * Utilizes GAMA to query site information and data as well as create historical tables and sampling reports. * Schedules project tasks and tracks project progress through closure. * Adheres to all GES Health & Safety standards in all project and field-related activities.
Skills/Requirements
* A degree in Geology, Environmental Science or a related discipline and 3+ years of related experience. * Must have working knowledge of Florida's environmental regulations. * Must be a detail-oriented team player with the ability to multitask. * Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, planning, technical writing, and time management skills are required. * Must have a clean driving record and be able to drive a company vehicle. * A background check and an alcohol/drug screening are required.
