Primary Characteristics:
The Data Analyst is responsible for the creation of requirement, data mapping, data transformation logic, data dictionary and data lineage documentation.
Essential Functions:
Collect requirements from business and technical communities.
Document requirements, data mappings, data transformation logic, data dictionaries and data lineage.
Support enterprise metadata capabilities.
Support and follow departmental processes and standards.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications: (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
Experience with data dictionaries, data lineage and impact analysis.
Experience with Data Profiling methodologies and tools.
Experience with Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, ETL and Reporting.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to educate and influence business user community.
Strong ability to understand, abstract, and communicate complex business or technical issues.
Training and Experience:
5 + years experience collecting and documenting data centric business requirements.
5 + years experience creating data mapping and data transformation logic documentation.
Progressive work history in data, business or system analysis roles.
B.S. degree or higher in information technology or engineering field.
