Business Systems Analyst III- Merchandising Systems
This is an excellent opportunity to work as a Business Systems Analyst III/Merchandising Systems with an exciting company that specializes in quality and value for retail grocery chains. This is a full time, permanent position. We are actively seeking top talent to interview and hire as soon as possible.
Position Overview
Will perform a wide range of activities including: requirements gathering and applications design, business process analysis, modeling, and re-engineering, solution acceptance planning and execution and project management and dedication to solutions delivery
Responsible for developing recommendations and performing applications design in order to implement or enhance multiple key business processes and/or applications ensuring these systems are used properly and to the fullest benefit
Entails understanding and documenting complex business needs, identifying process improvements and performing technology transfers
Perform systems analysis, is involved from inception through implementation of any large development effort and contributes to the configuration and/or development of delivered solutions
Articulate the functionality and business roles in all areas relating to the Price Execution within the Merchandising Systems competency area, to include areas such as integration with Pricing Optimization, POS Integration, Shelf Tags and Store Signage, and Electronic Coupon Management within an ERP environment (e.g., SAP
Develop and maintain solid partnerships with IT Teammates and others in business functional departments
Document and model business processes, including current and future state environments to include associated gap analyses
Analyze business processes and then translate business user needs into a Use Case format and/or other applicable techniques, such as the UML
Probe, identify, document business requirements with ability to prioritize and understand dependencies
Lead and facilitate meetings with cross functional participants, drive consensus-building, and bring closure to key decisions
Act as a project manager for projects that may range in size to be delivered on-time and on-budget including administrative duties such as charter creation, project planning, resource scheduling, and project schedule and cost tracking
Coordinate customer acceptance testing
Create test plans in conjunction with the development team, and assist with testing
Keep current on new technology trends and business processes
Requirements:
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; or equivalent experience
6+years of business systems or related IT experience, preferably in retail, grocery, or CPG working within an ERP environment; Considerable proficiency in business systems analysis in at least 2 functional areas
Proficiency with creating and tracking project artifacts, including project charters
Proficiency in modeling business processes using BlueworksLive, Lombardi, or other BPM workbench
Demonstrated ability to set development standards and technical direction in a large scale industrial environment
Strong leadership skills with ability to provide expertise, guidance and constructive feedback to team members
Ability to operate independently and manage complex assignments and concurrent tasks
Ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines
An innovative self-starter with the initiative to learn new processes
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, decision-making and time management skills
Excellent organizational and planning skills
Intense focus on detail and accuracy of work
Demonstrated proficiency in requirements gathering (interview techniques, JAD sessions, questionnaires), requirements analysis (documentation: sequence, activity, state, or UML diagrams; prioritization, cost/benefit, gap, traceability analysis), business process reengineering (current/future process/data flows, time studies) and project management
Demonstrated expert PC skills including proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications
Demonstrated ability to think creatively and innovatively
A self-starter who takes initiative to learn new processes with little direct supervision
Demonstrated experience using Object Oriented Analysis and Design principles
Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
Ability to understand and follow English instructions
Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same
Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
